Husqvarna
We have conducted numerous projects for Husqvarna across their range of powered garden tools. In 2011. We ran a series of workshops which combined both Husqvarna staff and consumers of their lawnmowers. The workshops produced a pro forma for the ideal lawnmower. These were then tested and refined in market research – after which we ran workshops to help the marketing department roll out the new products. This involved teams from various departments – including marketing, engineering, innovations, design and advertising. One of the eventual outcomes was the introduction of the Ultra Glide, Hover Collect Mower which vacuums the grass so that it stands up straight before being cut.

The British Broadcasting Corporation
We have conducted many research projects and workshops with different departments of the BBC. For example, we worked with the innovations team to generate ideas for new programmes around specific themes, such as food and class consciousness. One of the insights gained related to ‘de-mythologizing food’ – and this led to the popular TV series ‘Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook’

Hewlett Packard Inc
We conducted creativity groups with IT purchasers of Small/Medium sized companies to understand the deep-level associations of HP relative to Dell. We then brainstormed strategies and a new positioning for HP to adapt to this discrete target audience – leading to an increased share of this market

The Home Office of the United Kingdom
We worked with the Home Office to develop unity and common purpose among three department sections at the Home Office. In such a calcified bureaucratic environment, it was a challenge for us to counter old habits of ‘turf protection’ and non- cooperation. Six months after this workshop, we ran a refresher course and a qualitative research programme and observed a palpable change for the better.
